Baltimore City Property Taxes are more than double that of any other Maryland jurisdiction! I am working with a group called with a Petition to lower Baltimore City's Property Tax from $2.248 to a very competitive $1.25. Anirban Basu, the famous economist, former Baltimore City Council President Carl Stokes, former Baltimore City Councilwoman Rikki Spector, former City Solicitor Andre Davis, and Loyola University Economist Dr. Stephen J.K. Walters Stephen Walter are leading this effort. Lowering taxes will be bring more industrial jobs to Baltimore, which helps fight poverty and crime. Lowering Baltimore City property taxes brings Equity into our region's tax policies, thereby dismantling another system of racism in our community.
