Always research each aspect of your vacation.

Tender boats (also called water shuttles) transport cruise passengers between the ship and shore when the ship cannot dock. While tender operations are generally safe, taking a few precautions can reduce your risk.
Listen carefully to the crew's safety briefing and follow all instructions.
Wear sturdy, non-slip shoes. Avoid high heels or slippery sandals.
Use both handrails when boarding and exiting. Step carefully, as the tender and ship may move with the waves.
Wait for the crew to tell you when it is safe to step across the gap.
Keep your hands free by using a backpack or crossbody bag instead of carrying multiple items.
Remain seated while the tender is moving unless the crew instructs otherwise.
Wear the life jacket if directed or if one is provided for the trip.
Secure hats, phones, and loose belongings before departure.
If you have mobility challenges, are pregnant, or are prone to balance issues, notify the cruise line in advance and ask whether tendering is appropriate for you.
If sea conditions are rough, expect delays or possible cancellation of tender service. Safety decisions are made based on weather and water conditions.
Never attempt to board or leave a tender without crew assistance or permission.
If you're traveling with children, keep them close, hold their hand during boarding and disembarking, and never allow them to run or stand while the tender is underway.

The group pleaded guilty to fighting, resisting arrest, and assaulting police. Here are important steps to take:

Do Not Resist Arrest
