The Streetlights Are On/Know The Codes ...

Over the last 2 weeks, communities throughout the country have witnessed multiple children killed by gun violence.

Tonight (and for the next week), we invite our fraternity members, Sweethearts, and friends to get "On Code" and do the following:

* check on the mental health of your children
* know where your guns are and be sure they are secure
* know who your children are around and be sure they are "out of the way!"
* if you harbor someone who has killed an innocent, you and they are the problem
* do not blame the children or speak of them as "at risk!" Instead ... love on them without judgment and coach them (and yourself) about what is going on out here
* change the game with your words AND actions

If you are in the game, you know what it is and accept "the code" ... but these babies are not in the game and should be off limits.

Make it a daily tradition to check on your people and keep the innocent out of way ...

Do something different ... don't just sit there and be a spectator.

"EDUCATE. CULTIVATE. ADVOCATE"

The Streetlights Are On/Know The Codes messaging campaign is having its hard launch in a few weeks ...

Until then we are encouraging EVERYONE to check on their children, elders, and other loved ones when the Streetlights Are On. Check on their well-being, know where they are, who they are with, and intentionally stand for their safety, wellness, and state of mind.

We use this time to get "On Code" as a means of adopting and enforcing positive and uplifting codes of conduct. There are levels to this and we encourage everyone to think about it, talk about it ... BE ABOUT IT!

Take 3-5 minutes to each day to send a message, make a call, pop-up and check in ...

The National Iota Foundation wishes all the Men of Iota a Happy 60th Founder’s Day. The fraternity motto, “Building a Tradition, Not Resting Upon One” is as relevant today as it ever was. As we prepare for the next 60 years of excellence, let us recognize that our enormous potential is just as relevant as our historic past. Let us honor the spirit of our founding and dedicate ourselves to continuing our mission to develop and perpetuate Scholarship.
