Meet Carolina, a first year Volunteer serving at Grace Medical Home in Orlando, FL.

Carolina is from Miami, FL and she chose to serve with NDMV because she believes serving people is a way to do good with her time. She is a social worker, so this is something very important to her beliefs. Her favorite NDMV Core Value is holistic education because she thinks learning about the person and their environment is equally as important when serving someone.

This year, Carolina is looking forward to learning about people's backgrounds that are different than her own.

"Looking back more than 20 years later, I certainly couldn't have predicted what my life or career would look like when I joined [NDMV] AmeriCorps at 22. But I can say with confidence that my NDMV AmeriCorps experience — and the people I met along the way — were fundamental to the person and professional I became."-Sara Kilroy, Notre Dame Mission Volunteer Alumni, 2002-2004 Service Year
