20 years ago, the National Minority Quality Forum established the Annual Summit on Health Disparities. This annual summit aims to assist health care providers, professionals, administrators, researchers, policy makers, community and faith-based organizations in delivering quality care to diverse populations. With nearly 1000 attendees annually, the Summit has educated thousands of health leaders.

Vision. The Forum strives to prepare the health system in the United States to provide optimal health care for a diverse society.

Morgan State University

Dr. Edwards is known as an authentic public health
champion. As a scholar-activist, she has published in several peer-reviewed articles. She was also
one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women in 2013, 2016, and 2019. Her research has been presented at
international, national, and local conferences and workshops.
