Our Values: What do we want to cultivate? A timeless legacy of Excellence, Spirituality and Compassion. Our Service: What area will we serve? The East Baltimore City Community! East Baltimore communities rank in the top five (5) neighborhoods where Census indicators of health and wellness of families rate the children most at risk for teen pregnancies, sexually transmitted disease, juvenile convictions, drug abuse and academic failure. It is our desire to provide high impact programs of service to positively influence these risks to the East Baltimore City community. Our Service Programs: What types of programs will we deliver? High impact and purpose filled programs! In addition to supporting the national program platform of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Psi Phi Omega who will also implement a signature program to directly address the core risks affecting our youth and family unit. A partnership with The Baltimore Department of Juvenile Services Female Intervention Team (FIT) Program will allow us to directly mentor these young women, and provide them with the necessary exposure and encouragement to overcome the immediate surroundings and personal circumstances. Ultimately, helping them to chart a new path for the future in Education, Finance, Mental Health, Physical Health, and Relationships. Our Fundraising Programs: What will be our signature fundraiser? A program that celebrates our legacy and prestige! "An Evening of the Arts" - A celebration honoring those in Alpha Kappa Alpha and the Baltimore community who have contributed greatly to the Arts.
