🌱 Last weekend, the Clean, Green, & Beautiful Baltimore Community Change Collaborative (CG2B3C) hosted its 3rd CG2B3C Planning & Capacity Building Retreat at the Langston Hughes Community, Business & Resource Center in Park Heights

We shared ideas, strategies, struggles, and triumphs during this two-day retreat that brought together nine of our CG2B3C partners. When provided resources and supports, resident leaders have the capacity to work together to create greener, more resilient communities.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and participated with vision and energy. The work continues and so will our collective efforts! 🌳

On Day 2 of the 3rd CG2B3C Planning & Capacity Building Retreat, Ruth Ann Norton shared some words of inspiration with CG2B3C partners. A special THANK YOU to Ruth Ann and GHHI staff for believing in BGJWC to leverage relationships with resident and community-based nonprofit leaders in Baltimore City to build the capacity of the organizations that comprise the Clean, Green & Beautiful Baltimore Community Change Collaborative (CG2B3C). This is US and we are working together to thrive!

BGJWC had the pleasure of attending the Maryland (MD) People’s Hearing at Bowie State University on September 17, 2026. The MD People's Hearing was hosted by The People’s Environmental Justice Advisory Council (PEJAC). The bulk of the day included testimonies by community members who spoke about environmental, social and economic struggles and solutions. Attendees heard from fellow community members across the Mid-Atlantic region and PEJAC members. We had an amazing time connecting with other stakeholders who share the same goals as us. 🌱
