Good morning, Morning Impact family! One of the greatest gifts God offers humanity is forgiveness. Many people spend years carrying guilt, shame, regret, and painful memories. Some have convinced themselves that what they have done is too bad, too embarrassing, or too sinful for God to forgive. Yet Scripture tells a completely different story.

Psalm 103 paints a beautiful picture of God's heart toward His children. The psalmist declares that the Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love. What an incredible reminder for all of us who have fallen short and made mistakes along the way.

One of my favorite phrases in that passage is that God removes our transgressions "as far as the east is from the west." Think about that for a moment. East and west never meet. In other words, when God forgives, He completely removes the guilt and penalty of our sin. He is not holding our failures over our heads.

Forgiveness means more than simply getting a second chance. It means the record has been wiped clean. It means grace has the final word. It means God sees us through the finished work of Jesus Christ rather than through the lens of our failures and shortcomings.

Many people struggle because they have accepted God's forgiveness intellectually but not emotionally. They know God forgives, but they have not forgiven themselves. They continue replaying old mistakes, carrying old wounds, and reliving old failures. Yet God never intended for His children to live in perpetual condemnation.

Morning Impact family, let me ask you this question: What guilt have you been carrying that God has already forgiven? What burden are you holding onto that Christ already paid for at Calvary? Today may be the day to finally release it and walk in freedom.
Acts 2:21 reminds us that whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. The same God who saves us also forgives us. No sin is beyond His reach. No failure is beyond His grace. No life is beyond His ability to restore.

Today's application is to spend time thanking God specifically for His forgiveness. Then identify one area where you need to stop carrying guilt and start embracing God's grace. Walk today as someone whose record has been wiped clean.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your mercy and forgiveness. Thank You for removing my sins and giving me a fresh start through Jesus Christ. Help me release guilt, shame, and regret. Teach me to walk confidently in the freedom that Your grace provides. In Jesus' name,
Amen.

MORNING IMPACT: TURNING TOWARD GOD | Pastor Brandon O. McAfee | June 9, 2026

06/08/2026

Good morning, Morning Impact family! As many of you know, your pastor loves sports. One of the things sports teaches us is that success rarely happens overnight. Most champions experience disappointment before they experience victory. Before Michael Jordan won championships, he lost. Before LeBron won championships, he lost. Before many great athletes experienced the joy of winning, they first experienced the pain of defeat. Sometimes, as Fantasia said, "you gotta lose to win."
That same principle applies to our spiritual lives. Many of us want God's power, God's blessings, God's favor, and God's miracles immediately. However, the reality is that there is a process to experiencing the fullness of what God has for us. Pentecost did not happen overnight. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit was the result of prayer, waiting, obedience, and preparation.
As I shared on Sunday, I believe there is another level for all of us. There is another level for you, another level for me, and another level for us collectively. God desires to take us deeper in our faith, stronger in our witness, and higher in our spiritual maturity. However, before we arrive at the next level, we must trust God's process.
The Holy Spirit specializes in empowering ordinary people to do extraordinary things. The Holy Spirit puts the super on our natural and the extra on our ordinary. Through the Spirit, God gives us power to live, serve, forgive, endure, and overcome. What we cannot do in our own strength becomes possible through the power of the Holy Spirit.
The challenge is that many of us become frustrated with the process. We want God to move faster. We want immediate answers. We want instant breakthroughs. Yet God often develops us before He deploys us. He prepares us before He promotes us. He builds our character before He expands our influence.
Morning Impact family, let me ask you a question today: What process are you currently going through that you wish would end? Is it a season of waiting? A season of healing? A season of uncertainty? I want you to know that God has not forgotten about you. The process is producing something in you that the destination alone cannot provide.
The good news is that every step of the process is covered by God's grace. Even when you do not understand what God is doing, you can trust His heart. The same God who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it. Don't quit in the middle of the process.
Today's application is simple: identify one area where you have been frustrated with God's timing and intentionally thank Him for what He is teaching you through it. Trust that God is preparing you for your next level.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for reminding me that spiritual growth is a process. Help me trust You when I cannot see the outcome. Give me patience while You prepare me for what You have prepared for me. Fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit and help me walk faithfully through every season of development. In Jesus' name, Amen.

The Holy Spirit & You: It's A Process | Pastor Brandon O. McAfee | Acts 2:38

Good morning and happy Friday, family. As we close this week, I want to end with two final truths from my 42 Things I Know for Sure: God can do suddenly what seemed like it would take a lifetime… and God is good.
Have you ever waited on something so long you almost stopped expecting it? Then suddenly—the call comes. The answer comes. The opportunity comes. The healing comes. The breakthrough comes.
God has a way of moving in ways that remind us He was working all along—even when we couldn’t see it.
One thing I know for sure is this: don’t give up before suddenly shows up. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep showing up. Keep doing the work. Keep trusting.
And while you’re waiting? Enjoy life. Take the trip. Love God. Love yourself. Love others. Don’t postpone joy until the breakthrough. Learn to praise God in the middle of the process.
So let me ask you before we head into the weekend: What are you believing God for suddenly in your life right now? Drop “Suddenly!” in the comments if you’re still trusting God for it.
Because after everything life has taught me—through wins, wounds, lessons, laughter, prayer, growth, and grace—I still know this for sure:
God is good.
Prayer:
God, thank You that You are always working, even when I cannot see it. Strengthen my faith while I wait. Renew my hope for what’s ahead. And remind me daily of Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Good morning, family. Let me ask you honestly: who’s helping you carry what you’re carrying?
One of the truths on my list is this: you can’t do it all by yourself. Somewhere along the way many of us learned independence so well that we started confusing it with strength. But wisdom says community matters.
Even Jesus received help carrying the cross. If Jesus accepted help, why do we resist it?
Another thing I know for sure: friendship is essential to the soul. We need people. Encouragement matters. Accountability matters. Love matters. And yes—sometimes picking up the phone matters too. Which is why another item on my list says simply: pick up the phone and call.
Who do you need to check on today? Who’s been on your mind lately? Send the text. Make the call. Reconnect.
And if you’re the one needing support—ask for it. Asking for help isn’t weakness. It’s wisdom.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the gift of community. Remind me I was never meant to do life alone. Help me both receive support and be support for someone else today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Healing is holy work. It is sacred work. And it is often slow work. One thing I know for sure is this: you deserve to heal. God desires wholeness for every part of your life—your mind, your heart, your body, your relationships, and even the hidden places you rarely speak about.
Many of us keep moving while carrying wounds we’ve never truly addressed. We function. We smile. We show up. But deep down we are still carrying pain from things we thought we were over. Yet whatever remains unhealed often keeps resurfacing in conversations, relationships, and everyday reactions. Healing delayed will often revisit until healing begins.
Your body remembers what your mind tries to forget. Trauma has a way of lingering—in tension, fatigue, anxiety, avoidance, and emotional exhaustion. But God sees all of it. God sees the tears no one else saw. God sees the pain you buried beneath productivity. God sees what you survived.
And still, healing is possible. Through prayer. Through therapy. Through rest. Through community. Through honest conversations. Through boundaries. Through grace. Through the Holy Spirit. God heals in many ways, and wisdom means being open to every avenue God uses.
Healing also requires courage. Courage to tell the truth. Courage to forgive. Courage to let go. Courage to ask for help. Sometimes strength doesn’t look like pushing through—it looks like pausing long enough to acknowledge what hurts.
Today, give yourself permission to heal. Not someday. Not when life slows down. Not when everyone else understands. Start where you are. Bring your whole self before God and trust Him with every piece.
Prayer:
Healing God, thank You for caring about every part of me. Heal what hurts, restore what is broken, and strengthen what is weary. Give me courage to confront what I’ve avoided and grace to receive the healing You desire for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Good morning, family—and welcome to Morning Impact. I want to begin the week with a simple question: What do you know for sure? Not what you’ve heard. Not what somebody told you. But what has life taught you? What has God shown you? Proverbs 4:7 says, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom.” Wisdom comes from walking, falling, getting back up, praying through it, and trusting God anyway. As I reflected on turning 42 and shared my 42 Things I Know for Sure, one truth rose to the top—wisdom is priceless.
One thing I know for sure is God is real. I don’t know how else to say it. I’ve seen God move too many times. I’ve watched Him make ways, open doors, heal wounds, and sustain me through seasons I never thought I’d survive. That kind of testimony changes you. Once you’ve experienced God for yourself, nobody can debate you out of what you know.
Another truth from my list is this: control what you can control—and leave the rest to God. Somebody this morning is carrying something too heavy because you’ve convinced yourself it’s yours to fix. But wisdom teaches us the difference between responsibility and surrender. Do your part. Pray your prayer. Take your step. Then trust God with the rest.
And let me ask you something: what are you trying to force that God may be asking you to release? Drop it in the comments today: “God, I trust You with it.” Sometimes that declaration is the first act of wisdom.
I also know this—God will blow your mind if you let Him. But often it happens on the other side of obedience. The blessing may not be in what you’re asking for—it may be in what God is asking of you. Faithfulness still matters. Trust still matters. Obedience still matters.
So as you begin this Monday, don’t just ask God for answers. Ask Him for wisdom. Wisdom for the meeting. Wisdom for the relationship. Wisdom for the parenting decision. Wisdom for the next move. Because wisdom doesn’t just help you decide—it helps you discern.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the gift of wisdom. Lead me today in every decision, every conversation, and every step I take. Help me trust You with what I cannot control and give me courage to walk faithfully in what You’ve assigned to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
