Celebrate 20 years of youth talent, creativity, and achievement with Child First Authority on Thursday, May 21st at the Morgan State University Murphy Fine Arts Center.

🎨 Doors open at 4:30 PM to explore student exhibits
🎭 The showcase begins at 6:00 PM

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us for the return of the Child First Parent Retreat! Because of the overwhelming demand and continued desire for spaces that pour into our families, we were excited to bring this special experience back, and it would not have been the same without you.

To our amazing parents/guardians/families, thank you for choosing to spend your weekend with us. Your presence, energy, and willingness to engage made the day truly meaningful. We recognize the value of your time, and we are so appreciative that you showed up ready to invest in yourselves and your families.

A special thank you goes to our dedicated Parent Investment Coordinators, who worked hard to ensure that families from their schools were not only prioritized, but fully supported. Your commitment to understanding families’ needs, encouraging participation, and creating excitement around this retreat did not go unnoticed.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to our Child First staff, presenters, and community partners. Your collaboration, passion, and preparation helped create an impactful and enriching experience for all who attended.

This retreat was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we come together with purpose. We are already looking ahead with excitement and intention, planning the next retreat to be even bigger, better, and more impactful.

Career Day at Robert W. Coleman was one for the books! 🎓✨

Scholars had the incredible opportunity to hear directly from Councilman Porter, Delegate Stinnett, and Senator Hayes, who shared the ins and outs of their careers in public service. From how they got started to the impact they make in their communities every day, our students walked away inspired and full of questions!

Moments like these help our young leaders see what’s possible and imagine their own paths to success. 💼🌟

🎉 Field Trip Fun at Jump Kingdom! 🎉

Our after-school scholars at Calvin Rodwell Elementary Middle School ( ) had an amazing time bouncing, laughing, and letting loose during a recent trip to Jump Kingdom! From wall-to-wall jumps to nonstop play, it was all smiles as students enjoyed a well-deserved break from the classroom.

Moments like these remind us how important it is for our young people to recharge, connect, and just be kids, even if only for a little while. The energy, joy, and laughter filled the room, and it was truly a day to remember! 💫

🏆 CHAMPIONS 🏆

Congratulations to the Mary E. Rodman basketball team on an incredible championship win! Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to the game truly paid off. From practices to game day, you showed what it means to stay focused, push through challenges, and play as a team, and that brought you home the title! 👏🏾🏀

This season was bigger than just one game. Across the entire Child First Intramural Sports League, every team showed effort, growth, and heart. Each player stepped on the court ready to learn, compete, and support one another, and that makes everyone a winner. 💪🏾✨

A huge thank you to all of our student-athletes, coaches, staff, and partners who made this season possible. Your time, energy, and support continue to create meaningful opportunities for our youth to shine.
