🎵 Mixtape Monday 🎵

Welcome to a new Third Space tradition.

Each Monday, we'll share a playlist from someone in our community. Staff, participants, artists, volunteers, and friends. Along with the music that's inspiring them right now.

We're starting with Rabbi Jessy's Playlist.

Featuring artists like Bob Marley, Indigo Girls, Carole King, Lauryn Hill, Brandi Carlile, Matisyahu, Alicia Keys, and more, it's a playlist full of songs that celebrate connection, resilience, reflection, and joy.

Give it a listen here: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2Ltu2SBIm6tNNqIcbkEFld?si=f7ab16fc8e3f4712

And we'd love to hear what's on your mixtape. Send us a playlist and a few words about why you chose it, and you may be featured in a future Mixtape Monday.

Sometimes a great conversation starts with a great song.

What a way to wrap up the season.

Join us for our final gathering before our summer pause: the Baltimore Unity Supper. Share a meal, connect with old friends, meet new ones, and spend an evening in meaningful conversation with Dazia Wallerson and Kohenet Dr. Harriette Wimms.

Over the past several months, Third Space has been filled with music, ideas, creativity, learning, and connection. This final event captures what Third Space is all about: bringing people together around the table.

We hope you'll join us for one last evening of community before we head into summer.

As the week comes to a close, we’re thinking about the importance of community, joy, and beauty in our lives. Staff and volunteers from Art with a Heart recently installed over 300 hand-decorated birdhouses to further beautify our outdoor space.
It’s such a striking reminder of the power we have when we work together. Our collective effort is gorgeous!

However you observe (or don’t!) may this shabbat bring you quiet (and the loud!) enjoyment of co-creation–you own and others.

What happens when the lessons of Jewish summer camp stay with you long after camp ends?

In her latest JMORE article, Rabbi Jessy Dressin reflects on the joy, belonging, creativity, and lived Jewish experiences that shaped her at camp—and how those same values continue to inspire the vision for Third Space today.

It’s a thoughtful piece about community, connection, and creating spaces where people can explore Jewish life in meaningful and authentic ways.

Camp and youth group experiences have the ingredients for true, deep, lifelong transformation, writes Rabbi Jessy Dressin.

We’re not quite at the end… but we can feel the shift.

These past months at Third Space have been full in the best way—music, conversation, new faces, familiar ones, and so many moments in between.

As we start to wind things down, we’re holding onto what’s been created here… while making space for what’s still to come.

A few more chances to gather.

Baltimore Unity Supper
Tuesday, June 23 at 6PM

This is more than just a meal. It’s a chance to come together, sit at the table, and connect in real conversation with old friends and new ones alike.

As we close out an incredible season at Third Space, this evening feels especially meaningful. A moment to reflect, to share, and to be in community one more time before we take a pause.

We hope you’ll be part of it.

Not quite the end… but a moment to take it in.

The past few months at Third Space have been full in the best way. Music, ideas, conversation, creativity, and so many opportunities to be together.

This community continues to show up with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to be part of something meaningful and evolving. That's what makes all of this possible.

As we begin planning for a new season of Happenings this September, we'd love to hear from you. If you haven't already, please take a few minutes to complete our post-season survey. Your feedback helps shape what's next, and you'll be entered to win a $50 gift card and a Third Space swag bag. Three winners will be selected from surveys submitted by July 7.

We're not done just yet. There's still one more event before we pause for the summer.

But before we get there, this felt like a good moment to look around and say: this has been something really special.

We're so glad you've been part of it.
