Last week our Pearls stepped into their voices during “Speaking Truth to Power: Social Justice.”

We were honored to welcome Councilwoman Porter (District 10) and , President and General Director , who reminded our girls that leadership begins with knowing your worth and standing firmly in it.

Our Pearls practiced their power pose — shoulders back, heads high — learning that confidence is not just something you feel, it’s something you embody. They spoke their thoughts with clarity, practiced using their voices with authority, and learned that their words carry weight.

Because when young girls understand their power, they begin to move through the world differently.

And they closed the session with affirmations that filled the room with strength:

I AM BRAVE.
I AM CONFIDENT.
I CAN BE ANYTHING I WANT TO BE.

Our Pearls are not just learning to speak —
they are learning to lead. 💜🩷💚

This weekend hosted its second Mommy Wellness event. We partnered with and to provide yoga by neamaste , childcare, lunch and supplies to help ease their work as mothers such as onesies, crib/toddler sheets, blankets, baby wipes, pack and plays , and educational toys.

The Sankofa principle is the guiding concept of the Charming Pearls Rites of Passage program. Our participants are engaged in activities that call on them to learn about their past so they’re stronger going forward. In this session they engaged in a gallery walk about powerful women like Misty Copeland, Stacey Abrams, Ethel Hedgemon Lyle, Mary McLeod Bethune and others who paved the way for what’s possible for them. 💜🩷💚
