Eastside Uplift is all about empowering, encouraging, and uplifting our neighbors.

Our May Pull Ups was packed with love and resources for this amazing family, meet Shanta. Earlier this year, her family was displaced.

Her story is a reminder that life can change in an instant. Her journey encourages us to stay grateful for what we have, remain thankful as we are in the process to what’s next, and extend compassion to others because we never truly know what someone may be carrying.

We are incredibly grateful to the partners, supporters, and community members who stepped up to ensure this family is no longer experiencing homelessness. Their willingness to act reminds us of what’s possible when a community comes together.

This spring, we’ve been making moves—from The Pull Up and food distributions to case management and resource navigation. Every day, we’re working to address disparities and meet our neighbors where they are.

There is so much power in Community!
Eastside Uplift took The Pull Up Program OUTSIDE—meeting people right where they are. 🛒🧡

During one of our stops at Roses, we met Mr. Jerry—another gentle soul who didn’t see us coming, but welcomed us with a kindness you don’t come across every day.

Mr. Jerry reminds us that love, kindness, and thoughtfulness still exist. There are still people who love out loud, and who don’t think twice when they see others plight.

TOGETHER, we are helping our community redirect their dollars and paying it forward is more critical than ever. Even small acts of kindness can make a real difference in someone’s day.

In times like these, community matters more than ever. Kindness is still here. And Eastside Uplift is proud to continue being a change agent in Baltimore.
