What Does Community mean to you? That is the conversation all month long as we celebrate.

Most recently, we pulled up in Northeast Baltimore to this beautiful soul! 🧡💗

The Pull Up allows ESU to meet you where you are. This unique program allows us to be in community, connecting with people we may have never met that are our NEIGHBORS.
We provide groceries, toiletries, and everyday essentials to help ease the load. We also make room to listen, encourage, and remind our neighbors that they don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone.

Every Pull Up reminds us that meaningful connections start with being present. 🫶🏾

There is so much power in The Pull Ups. Transaction goes both ways✨✨✨

You never know what your neighbor is going through and how something as simple as showing up changes the trajectory of a person’s future.

As nonprofit leaders we show up, even in times we need the motivation, the uplift, the empowerment. This weekend, these two moms we pulled up on poured back into us, uplifted us, and challenged us to KEEP GOING, and it meant so much more than words can express.

Thank you Baltimore for pouring back into us, for being our neighbors, and for being our community.

God is intentional.

Cherry Hill, we are here! 👋🏾🧡

This is what wraparound community care looks like: organizations working together, sharing resources, making connections, and making sure our neighbors know they are not alone.

We are grateful for the partners, referrals, friends, and neighbors who make it possible for us to pull up.

A special thank you to our partners at Goodwill Industries and Jada for helping us connect with families who can benefit from additional support.

At Eastside Uplift, we believe in the old-school way of doing community: showing up, being present, listening, caring, praying, and leading with love and humility. The families and neighbors we meet along the way are truly what make this work so special. People you would never meet if you weren’t doing the work.

That’s what The Pull Up Initiative is all about: meeting our neighbors where they are and responding to immediate needs with care, dignity, and tangible support.

Sometimes community care means showing up right when life shifts. 🧡

For our August Pull Up, we had the opportunity to support Jessica as she prepared for surgery and several months away from work. During a time when her focus needed to be on surgery and recovery, we wanted to help ease some of the everyday burdens at home.

And that’s what The Pull Up Initiative is all about—meeting our neighbors where they are and responding to immediate needs with care, dignity, and tangible support.

Jessica welcomed us with the most amazing spirit—and a house full of budding entrepreneurs! We were grateful to Pull Up, show some neighborly love, and remind her that community means you don’t have to navigate difficult seasons alone.

Every month, Eastside Uplift is committed to turning “we care” into “we showed up.” But lasting impact takes all of us.

Help us continue to Pull Up for Baltimore families when they need it most. 🧡
