IAC was founded in 1992 by the Dean of Student Life to promote diversity in the JHU Homewood community as well as to explore and celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander culture and identity. Today, IAC strives to connect student groups of the Johns Hopkins University to maintain lasting ties between these groups and the university, to develop programming that educates, explores and promotes

issues pertaining to the Asian American and Pacific Islander community, and ignite the community to be engaged and empowered members of society.

Our board members and .jhu had a great time at the OCA-DC Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AA & NH/PI) Studies Summit at Georgetown University last week! We had some great discussions with professors and students about organizing and advocating for AANHPI Studies at our respective institutions. Thank you for this opportunity.
