Divine Gems Youth Group Cultivating diamonds in the rough one precious girl at a time Founded by Tamyra Brooks a current UMBC student with a background in Nursing
and Psychology.

As a mother of four, 3 of which are girls, she has
made it her mission to enhance the lives of as many young women as she
can. She believes that with the numerous issues that plague today's
youth our communities are in need of programs that enrich the lives of
our future generations. It has been her dream for the past decade to
start a company where she could help young girls find that specia

l
gift that is hidden inside of them. Tired of dreaming Tamyra has
set forth to make her vision a reality. She believes that there are
many keys to success, the major ones are having a strong sense of
self, and a dream worth fighting for. Tamyra's newest baby, Divine
Gems aims to arm today's youth with with all of the tools needed to
have a future that shines bright like a diamond!

HEY TEENS AND PARENTS OF TEENS
ASK ME ABOUT THIS SERVICE OPPORTUNITY

PumpkinFest is Irvine Nature Center’s signature fall festival for families. There are pumpkins, crafts, games, rides and more! This year PumpkinFest will be Saturday October 12 and open to the public from noon to 7pm. As the event quickly approaches I am looking for 200 volunteers to sign up for 4 hour shifts. The first shift will be 9am-1pm and the last shift will be 5pm-9pm. Students can start their shift at any hour. I am looking for help with setting up, running crafts/games/rides, and cleaning up. This is a great opportunity for students to earn community service hours!

We had a great time today with Brea and the rest of our new 4 legged friends at the Maryland Horse Rescue. Our Gems came out and earned 3 service learning hours today. We fed and groomed some horses clean some stalls and gave lots of hugs to these sweet horses.... see you guys on 7/21 at Irvine Nature center. Inbox me if you need hours!
