At The Food Project inside the U Empower of MD Resource Hub, we always say: there is no wrong door.

What does that mean?

It means no matter how someone walks in—through a meal line, a pop-up, a partner program, or just needing help—they are met with a network of support. One connection leads to another… and another… until real change begins to take shape.

Yesterday’s pop-up reminded us exactly why this work matters.

One of our community members showed up wearing her work badge.

Just two months ago, she came through our doors in need of support. Through the Hub, she connected with multiple partners —accessing resources, guidance, and encouragement every step of the way. And now… she’s stepping into a new chapter. Thank you Champ Forbes and of Safe Exit Initiative- SEI for being part of that important safety net that we work to create at the 

That’s the power of a connected community.
That’s the power of “no wrong door.”

We are so proud of her. And we celebrate not just where she is—but the courage it took to take those first steps.
