The lower court's decision implementing the Supreme Court’s ruling officially ends Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haiti. This means that many of our union siblings have lost their lawful immigration status and may lose their jobs, the ability to support their families, and become at risk of family separation.

This is a moment for action. We’re calling on Congress to create a pathway to citizenship for longtime residents like our TPS union siblings.

IMPORTANT (share widely!): Haitian and Syrian Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders remain authorized to work for now. ✅

Haitian and Syrian SEIU members with TPS should contact your union representative if your employer attempts to terminate you because of the Supreme Court decision and because of the July 10 expiration date posted on the USCIS website--THIS IS INCORRECT.

The employer has no basis to terminate Haitian and Syrian TPS holders. They are still authorized to work until the lower courts issue a ruling that follows the Supreme Court's decision.
