We're pleased to announce that effective August 1, 2026, Ann Patterson has taken on the expanded role of Vice President of Health Services and Executive Director of Broadmead. Ann has been a dedicated member of the Broadmead team for a decade and has played an integral role in the life of our community, earning the trust and respect of residents, families, and team members alike.

This promotion recognizes Ann's longstanding leadership and reflects Broadmead's commitment to developing exceptional leaders from within. In her expanded role, Ann will work closely with Jay Prince, who continues to serve as President and CEO, helping guide the daily operations of Broadmead while supporting the community's continued growth and future initiatives.

We're also pleased to welcome John Ottena as Healthcare Administrator. John's extensive healthcare leadership experience will strengthen our operations and assume many of the regulatory and operational responsibilities that Ann has carried in Health Services. His arrival provides additional leadership capacity that will allow Ann to focus more broadly on her Executive Director responsibilities while continuing to champion exceptional care and service across the community.

Broadmead is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Heather Parrott as Executive Director of Residences at Vantage Point in Columbia, Maryland, effective June 22, 2026.

Dr. Parrott brings extensive experience in senior living and healthcare leadership, along with a deep commitment to creating environments where residents feel heard, supported, and connected. Most recently, she served as Chief Executive Officer of Dogwood Village Senior Living and Health and Rehab, where she led initiatives to strengthen community culture, support team members, and enhance the resident experience.

“We are delighted to welcome Heather to this important leadership role,” said Jay Prince, President and CEO of Broadmead. “Her depth of experience and collaborative leadership style, combined with her clear respect for the culture and values of Residences at Vantage Point, make her an outstanding fit.”

As Broadmead prepares to assume management of Residences at Vantage Point on July 1, 2026, Dr. Parrott will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and thoughtful transition. She will work closely with residents, team members, and the Board to maintain continuity while honoring the traditions, culture, and strong sense of connection that define the community.

“I am honored to join Residences at Vantage Point at such an important time,” said Parrott. “I look forward to getting to know residents and team members, listening carefully, and becoming an active part of this community as we build on its strong foundation and look ahead to the future together.”

Congratulations to our Spring 2026 Emerging Leaders I Cohort Graduates! One graduate commented, "The two most impactful things for me with this workshop were meeting new people in the industry that were passionate about growing and improving themselves and the actual leadership skills that I obtained during each workshop. These skills already feel so valuable to me moving forward in my position and career, and I am excited to continue to reflect on them and build my leadership muscles."
