For 100 years, the women of Baltimore Alumnae have carried the torch of the founders in implementing programs in , and urban development, economic development, and , and social action, and international awareness. We are located in an enterprise zone with neighbors that are economically at or below the national poverty level. A significant number of our neighbors live in low income or transitional housing. In addition, a disproportionate number of our youth have either dropped out of school and/or are economically disenfranchised. The Southern Community in which we reside, is in desperate need of more programs and activities that will enrich the lives of neighbors and address their growing concerns and unmet needs. The Baltimore Alumnae Chapter is doing our part in empowering our community through committed service.
