Here at Manna House we are blessed to BLESS! This week we had a full house of volunteers representing many different parts of our Baltimore Community. Special shoutouts to for sending some of their wonderful employees to spend the day with us, as well as, our Board Members Valerie and Ellen bringing their church: Glen Mar United Methodist; and Board Member Bruce and his church: First English Evangelical Lutheran. Thank you for supporting Manna House and Baltimore City through your time and hard work!

This Morning we had some super special guests come serve up some breakfast. A group of nine students from in Pennsylvania decided to take a spontaneous Spring Break Trip while incorporating evangelicalism opportunities and community services. The group was comprised of members from who reached out to our organization to offer their time to volunteer at our facility. We are so thankful to them for choosing to spend a bit of their break with MHI. It all starts with breakfast 🍳

At Manna House Inc., we rely heavily on voluntarism to operate. This morning, when our scheduled volunteers could no longer come, these lovely gentlemen stepped up and helped out! We want to give a HUGE MHI THANK YOU to Mr. Percy and Mr. Walter for being so willing to assist their vulnerable neighbors and community on a super cold Code Blue Day 🥶You’ve warmed our hearts 🫶

As you may know by now, we have re-opened after our remodeling and expansion project. Clients are coming in for breakfast and it is exciting to see new faces coming through! It's also heartwarming to see some familiar faces from "before" (COVID, the construction shut-down) reacting to our new digs. They are amazed and pleasantly surprised. I tell them we did it for them, and truly we did. We are happy that our neighbors feel welcome and respected in our house.

We invite you to volunteer with us--serve food, keep the dining room clean, assist our physically challenged customers. It does a spirit good!
