Southwest Area Park Public Safety Bicycle Rodeo!

Join us Sunday, July 17th from 12-5pm at the parking lot across from Hollins Market for the first Southwest Partnership Bike Rodeo. Kids will have the chance to participate in bike races and activities, and to learn about bicycle safety. There will be more information about the new bike share locations in the Southwest Partnership area, the W. Baltimore Bike Blvd. and other community events and resources. Food trucks will be on-site. The event is free and open to the public.

Sharing this message from the Southwest Partnership:

As you may know, there was a tragic hit-and-run accident in front of Steuart Hill Academic Academy in Union Square yesterday and Amirah Kinlaw, a third grade student who lived in Mount Clare was killed. Her loss is devastating to her family, friends, school, and community.

Staff at Steuart Hill have put together a fund to support Amirah's family with funeral and other expenses and they've asked us to share information about the fund as widely as possible. You can donate to the fund and find out more information here. The Union Square Association will also be collecting Cash Donations at the Bloom Your Block judging tomorrow in Union Square Park.
