Rose Street Youth Shelter or Basic Center Program The Rose Street Community Center's mission to prevent homelessness and violence amongst Baltimore city's at-risk, low-income, and vulnerable population(s).

The Rose Street Basic Center program currently has concentrated housing resources in the East Baltimore region but accepts RHY in need of services from all over Maryland state. Specifically, the Basic Center program provides access to the following basic services for RHY, ages 17 and under: breakfast and dinner; emergency shelter; counseling; case management; medical screenings and checkups; schoo

l re-enrollment; job search assistance and advocacy. The Basic Center Program’s main goal is to assist in-risk and low-income RHY, ages 17 and under, by offering them a safe and structured place to develop a plan for an alternative to life on the streets.
