Maryland Hunger Solutions Ending hunger and promoting well-being for all low-income Marylanders.

Maryland Hunger Solutions, an initiative of the Food Research and Action Center, is dedicated to the goal of ending hunger and improving health and well-being across the state. We focus on improving the federal nutrition programs at the state and local level to ensure that everyone has access to adequate healthy food every day. We work to increase participation in the federal nutrition programs an

d to ensure that eligible Marylanders receive the benefits to which they are entitled. Particularly during these difficult economic times, these programs are critical to the well-being of vulnerable Marylanders. Not only do these programs alleviate hunger, they help move individuals and families out of poverty.

🍎 Every Child Deserves a Healthy Summer

Summer break doesn't mean access to nutritious meals has to stop.

SMCPS Food & Nutrition Services continues to provide FREE weekly meal packs for children and teens 18 years old and younger throughout the summer.

Each 7-day meal package helps families stay fueled for summer activities, camps, sports, reading programs, and everything else summer brings.

📅 Pickup every Wednesday through August 19
📍 Oakville ES, Park Hall ES, and Spring Ridge MS

Parents or guardians must pick up meals, and registration is required.

This summer, Harford County Public Schools is again working with local partners to provide free summer meals for children 18 and under.

Meals must be eaten on site, and are available beginning the week of June 22. For a list of locations and times, please visit schoolmeals.hcpsschools.org/summermeals!

Additionally, this summer SUN Meals To-Go will return to Dublin Elementary. Each Wednesday, between July 1, 2026, and August 19, 2026, registered families can stop by to collect meal kits that include seven days of breakfast and lunch foods. Summer meals are back for eligible Calvert County children.

Calvert County Public Schools is offering a six-week Summer Meals Program for children ages 2-18 who qualify for Free and Reduced Price Meals (FARMs). Families can pick up grab-and-go meal kits each week containing five breakfasts, five lunches and milk.

Meal distribution will take place every Wednesday from July 1 through Aug. 5 at Huntingtown High School, Southern Middle School and Calvert High School. Community partners will also be on-site with resources and giveaways during each pickup.

Registration is required and opens May 26.

To confirm eligibility, register or learn more, contact the CCPS Child Nutrition Office at 443-550-8680.
