The Friends of Maryland’s Olmsted Parks & Landscapes mourn the loss of Dr. Raymond Bahr, who enthusiastically explored the Olmsted legacy in Maryland and on family travels throughout the US. Ray served on the FMOPL board (2009-2017) and as vice president (2011-2013). Not only was he a distinguished cardiologist, but he was also active in documenting the history of the Canton community in Baltimore as well as advocating for social justice and environmental issues. FMOPL is grateful to have had him as a supporter. More information on his meaningful life can be found at https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/catonsville-md/raymond-bahr-12707206.

We enjoyed very real cocktails that Frederick Law Olmsted may have enjoyed. The charcutier board was so wonderful and the owners of the Chesapeake Wine Company made us feel at home.
