**South Carolina State Alumni Chapter Takes Founders Week to the Airwaves**

As the South Carolina State Alumni Chapter (SC-STATE-AC) expands its Founders Day observance into a full Founders Week, the chapter is reflecting on what it truly means to honor our 14 Founders. Service remains at the heart of who we are, but Founders Week is also an opportunity to share our mission with the public, highlight our community impact, and live out the core values that have guided Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship, Inc. since 1962.

Milestone anniversaries connect our internal work to the broader community. Public perception can sometimes reduce collegiate organizations to simple social clubs. Founders Week is a powerful reminder of our real purpose. SC-STATE-AC intentionally emphasized our charitable outreach, our civil rights legacy, and our high academic standards to show the community the true impact of this Fellowship.

Groove Phi Groove was established to take on real societal challenges. By broadcasting our founding principles, SC-STATE-AC holds itself accountable to the community it serves while demonstrating the value of our scholarship programs, local funding, and strategic partnerships.

**The Media Blitz**

To carry that message across the region, the chapter developed and executed a comprehensive television and radio campaign:

**Friday:** Featured on *On Point with Cynthia Hardy* on WACH FOX 57, a program focused on the key social, political, and economic issues facing South Carolina.

**Sunday:** Extended the message on Cynthia Hardy's live radio broadcast on The Big DM, WWDM 101.3 FM.

**Monday, Founders Day:** Featured in interviews on KISS 103.1 FM with host Johnny Green and on Gospel 105.1 FM.

By reaching diverse audiences and age groups across the region, this campaign ensured maximum community coverage for the chapter's Founders Day observances.

SC-STATE-AC has set a strong example for every chapter in the Fellowship. Honoring our Founders is not only about looking back. It is about telling our story with intention, standing visibly in our communities, and showing the world that Groove Phi Groove is built on purpose.

60 YEARS OF AGGIE GROOVE.
On October 14, 1966, the Aggie Chapter of Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship, Inc. was chartered at North Carolina A&T State University. Sixty years later, we honor the brothers who built this legacy and those carrying it forward.
These photographs hold more than moments. They hold friendships, traditions, and a bond that reaches across generations.

Congratulations to the Ram Chapter of Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship, Inc. and its newly crowned Royal Court, honored today on the campus of Winston-Salem State University!
True to Groove, the court celebrated by giving back, serving the yard and the community that raised them. That is what royalty looks like: leading with purpose and serving with heart. 🐏
We look forward to a year of leadership, service, and Ram pride. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate and serve alongside them!

Happy Founders' Day to the Men of Groove,

Sixty-four years ago today, fourteen visionary men at Morgan State College set out to build brotherhood bound by loyalty, integrity, and an unshakable commitment to serve. They could not have imagined how far their vision would travel.

Our legacy is written in service. Our fellowmen marched in the civil rights movement, standing on the front lines in Baltimore and cities across this nation. Our chapters planted the seeds of justice and trailblazed the paths we now have the privilege to traverse. From those humble beginnings, we grew to more than 150+ chapters throughout the globe and 10s of thousands of members; we established our International Headquarters in Baltimore, erected 60 computer labs throughout the diaspora, and supported millions of people through our service and youth programs.

That is the legacy of service, brotherhood, and community empowerment we inherited. But a legacy is not a museum — it is a mandate.

So today, I charge every fellowman: mentor a young man who needs direction. Serve a community that needs your hands. Strengthen your chapter. Recruit with purpose. The fourteen gave us the foundation — now we build the next sixty-four years, together.

We are the few, but the chosen. Let us prove it — again.

The Fellowmen of Groove Phi Groove S.F.I. remember the tragic day that changed the United States forever.

We pray for all of the souls lost during these senseless attacks and commend those first responders and volunteers who put their lives on the line to help those in need.

We will never forget.
