Baltimore Families: Join us for our 5th annual Trick or Treat on Friday, Oct. 30 from 4:30–6 p.m.

Wear your best costume and enjoy stations of treats, crafts, games, and more.

📍 Outdoor Lot at 873 W. Baltimore St, Baltimore, MD 21201 (directly across from the CEC).
👻No need to register, just show up!
🎟️ Free family event, open to all (youth must be with an adult).

Our new operating hours begin today!

The CEC has new operating hours! Starting next week, August 10, we will be open to the community during these times*:

🕛 Monday–Thursday: 12 to 8 p.m.
🕛 Friday: 12 to 5 p.m.

*Special hours will continue for tax season, early voting and other unique events.

As we shared in last month's newsletter, these changes are part of budget reductions affecting the entire University this year, and are not a reflection of how important our community is to us. While our hours are changing, our commitment to YOU is not.

This summer, we've had the pleasure of hosting WombWork Productions Youthworks program right here in the CEC.

From powerful conversations to original performances, this program has been about more than employment- it's been a safe space for youth to tell their stories, develop leadership skills, and use art as a catalyst for change.

Over the past five weeks, YouthWorks participants have been working hard to create "What They Don't See: Youth Incarceration: Resilience, Resistance, and Restoration," an original production exploring healing, resilience, and hope through theater, poetry, music, and spoken word.

Join us as they bring their work to the stage:
