Baltimore Karate Club is a non-profit organization (incorporated as such in the state of Maryland since 1968) dedicated to teaching traditional Japanese karate. We teach the Shotokan style, and our parent organization is the International Shotokan Karate Federation (ISKF).

It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of long time student Janice Dykacz. Janice moved to Buffalo some many years ago but was a student of the Baltimore Karate Club for almost 30 years. She was a great student and great friend and has been missed these many years. Her memory lives on with our Club, and she will not be forgotten. Most heartfelt condolences to her family for their loss, and ours. Photo below from 2005 Dan exam at ISKF Headquarters.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of one of our father and teacher, Ed Davis, who passed away on Saturday. Sensei Davis was an important part of our community, and his dedication, guidance, and spirit touched many lives.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Sensei Davis for the wisdom, discipline, and encouragement he shared with all of us. His impact will continue to guide and inspire our dojo.

Please keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers as we honor his life and legacy.
