It's breaking our hearts to add this sign to our garden but we had another round of heavy theft yesterday after our work day where plants were stripped of almost all of their fruit.

We love keeping our space open to the community but we expect visitors to respect the time, money, and effort being put into growing food.

Here's a small reminder to alieve any confusion. ❤️

A little before and after of some of our work today. Cleared a lot of invasive grass and other plants to make way for some big native grasses (thanks Ace Hardware for the 1/2 off natives!). Good for our soil and for wildlife....mixed in with yarrow, rue, boneset, and sea holly. ❤️ Thanks Eduarda Vaz for the planting help and to our other volunteers who came out and worked through the morning heat to clean up Fox Street. 👏🍻

As we move further into spring you'll notice that we leave a lot of grass and plants to grow and bloom.

This is on purpose! Not only is it lovely on the eyes but it's good for our environment.

Full mowing will commence sometime in June. Until then, enjoy the paths around our mini meadows. ❤️🌱🌷

Did you know that that cutting into the wood on a rosemary bush is like cutting the branch off of a tree? Only flexible, green, growth should be harvested from rosemary. Cutting the wood is deeply harmful and can, over time and over harvest, cause death to the plant.
