“Black women have bad attitudes”.
This is the one of the main complaints and stereotypes that surround Black women, *Sigh*. Even if the statement has some truth to it, you cannot neglect the ugly history that Black women have endured in America. Should we start at the Middle Passage when they were r***d by the slave catchers? Or perhaps when they were also r***d and impregnated by their masters during slavery. Oh but you can’t forget about when they gave birth to these babies and were forced right back into the fields shortly after delivery. Don’t forget when they couldn’t nurse their own babies because they had to nurse the master’s babies even though the woman was able bodied just too f’n lazy to do it herself. If that wasn’t enough, the Black woman had to endure watching not only her husband but her children sold away for any given reason at any given time (perhaps this explains the broken Black family). I almost forgot that she also had to watch her man and children lynched and hung when they disobeyed master. You don’t think these type of horrors would have a long term effect on a person? I’m talking psychological trauma that is passed from generation. The Black woman has endured seeing their men go through mass incarceration which left them to care for children all alone. The welfare system would only give benefits if the man wasn’t in the home. Her natural hair is looked at negatively. Her boldness and ability to speak out against injustice is looked at as threatening and aggressive. Though she carries her family through the toughest of times, the media and her peers often portray the Black woman as weak and the cause of the dysfunction we see. She continues to hold her man down even though many Black men choose other races and ethnicities because of their exotic features. No other race of women on this planet have endured as much as Black women yet have still remained resilient, strong, hopeful, loving, responsible and consistent. To hell with an attitude, the Black woman has shown an ”Aptitude” that you will rarely see in any other creation.
