Today we celebrate .
It's an annual celebration of cancer patients all over the world to raise awareness and educate people about the prevention, identification and treatment of this life threatening disease.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), cancer is the biggest cause of death worldwide accounting for nearly 10 million deaths in 2022.

Let's help celebrate cancer patients by being kind in words, giving a helping hand or through donations, can make a whole lot of difference.

Women aged 25 and older should undergo regular Pap smears until age 70. Early detection through screening is key, as cervical cancer is highly treatable when diagnosed early. Smoking significantly increases the risk of cervical cancer, making quitting an important preventive measure.

Cervical cancer may not always cause noticeable symptoms, and when present, the symptoms may not be obvious. Common signs of cervical cancer can include:
• Unusual vaginal bleeding, such as bleeding after menopause, after s*x, or between regular periods.
• Changes in vaginal discharge.
• Pain or discomfort during s*xual in*******se.
• Unexplained pain in the lower back or pelvic area.

It's important to note that these symptoms are often caused by conditions other than cervical cancer. However, if you experience any of these signs, it’s essential to contact your GP promptly for reassurance and appropriate support.

Life's uncertainties can be overwhelming but God's words remind us that He has a plan to prosper and protect us.

In 1Pet 5:7; Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.
Take a deep breath feeling God's presence surrounds, envelope and strengthens you.

Cancer is not a death sentence but a life sentence; It pushes one to Live. Marcus Smith

“Don’t Lose Hope, Choose Hope”

“Choose hope” is a powerful and uplifting mantra that encourages positivity and resilience, especially when navigating the challenges of cancer.

Hope defies despair, reminding us that every storm passes, wounds can heal, and even setbacks carry lessons.

By embracing hope, we not only strengthen ourselves but also inspire others. It becomes a guiding light, proving that even in our darkest hours, we can rise, rebuild, and thrive.

As Desmond Tutu beautifully said, “Hope is being able to see that there’s light despite all of the darkness.”
