Help us improve our pollinator garden and clean up the park on Sunday June 14th from 10 am to noon. As you may have seen, we expanded our pollinator garden a couple weeks ago and we need to continue to make it better! We’ll be weeding, mulching, finishing the path, planting additional plants, and watering, as well as trash pick up throughout the Dell. All tools and gloves provided.

Celebrate the season with the Friends of Wyman Park Dell ❄️☃️

Our annual Winter Solstice in the Dell, complete with a light up holiday tree from , cookies and warm drinks for sale from , live music, and marshmallows, will be on Sunday, December 21 from 6 to 8 PM in the Lower Dell. See you there!

It’s that time of year again!! We’re so stoked to once again welcome our bovine friends back to the Dell for Goats on the Slope 2025!

They will be lunching away at invasive vegetation from Friday, September 19 to Monday, September 22 🍃

On Sunday the 21, joint us for games, refreshments, and music in the Dell with from 2 to 5 PM while the goats graze nearby.

A big thanks to who designed this year’s Goats on the Slope logo and limited edition, collectible shirt which is available for pre-order on our website. Link in bio. 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐

The Dell’s pollinator garden along 29th Street is doing great - various things are in bloom, including Black-eyed Susan, Cardinal Flower, Joe Pye W**d, and Milkweed. It has seen many bees, birds, and even Monarch Butterflies!

Our next clean up is Sunday, September 14th from 10a-12p and we’re working towards more plantings in the Dell for October and November, as well as next spring. Many thanks to all the volunteers this year at our monthly events, and to for helping us create this native pollinator garden!

The Chesapeake Shakespeare Company is bringing free performances of William Shakespeare’s (mostly) It’s the Comedy of Errors, Hon!, adapted and directed by Ian Gallanar, to parks across the city this summer. Join us in the Dell on Thursday, July 10 at 7:30 PM. The Friends will be there selling popcorn and refreshments. Rain date: July 11

Great time as always hosting and other great musicians! Bluegrass in the Dell is always such a relaxing, joy-filled time, with people of all ages and backgrounds enjoying music played at a human scale by our neighbors, the lush green of the Dell, the fresh air (maybe a little bit humid, but we digress)…our hearts are full.
