⭐️ Call for Artists ⭐️ Do you want to participate in the Highlandtown First Friday Art Walk? There are 25+ venues to exhibit your work, pop-up your products, or showcase your skills as a performer, musician, or something else-- we're open to ideas! These joyful, inclusive events attract hundreds of visitors every first Friday from 5-9PM.

Bring your dancer--including your inner dancer-- to City Ballet of MD's Open House this Saturday, August 22 . From 11AM-1PM you can explore the facility, see the studios, meet the staff that train dancers aged 3-18, and watch a performance at noon. Afterwards, you can enroll your dancer in City Ballet of MD online.

Sokol Baltimore, Inc's Summer Spectacular Fundraiser is coming up this Saturday, August 22 from 1pm-7pm. Pre-school, youth and adults can explore the gym during two-hour intervals, and there is plenty more check out as well. Food, face painting, crafts-- even the organization's cultural archives will be open for exploration!

Happy 6th Birthday to Sally O’s! With its fresh, contemporary menu and a relaxed, beach-bar vibe, the restaurant at 3531 Gough St has become a favorite spot for friends and neighbors to kick back. Help them celebrate next Tuesday, Aug. 25 during the "Old Bae" Crab Feast! It's $65 for 2 hours of all-you-can-eat crabs, and look out for classic sides like sweet corn, shrimp, and Bohs to "warsh" it down! We are thrilled to welcome the Patterson Park Academy of Music to its new home in the district! You can visit them at 3201 Noble Street (right across from Sokol Baltimore, Inc).

This renovation project transformed a vacant building into an active space for families and music lovers. It was supported by Southeast CDC through the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development's Baltimore Regional Neighborhood Initiative grant, as well as a Facade Improvement grant from The City of Baltimore Development Corporation - BDC.

Artists: want to participate in Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts' Open Studios Tour? Now is the time to apply! Part of Free Fall Baltimore, the city-wide Open Studios Tour is a chance for art-lovers, students, collectors, and creative influencers to visit professional artists in their creative spaces. This year, on October 10 and 11, the public can meet, connect with, and purchase art from vibrant, working artists between the hours of 10AM-5PM. Huge thanks to all those who came out to the Highlandtown First Friday Art Walk last week! It was great to see so many awesome folks braving the rain! We are very grateful to the venues that opened incredible exhibitions during Art Walk: you are amazing, Creative Alliance, Crystal Moll Gallery, Highlandtown Gallery, 3402 Art, Snake Hill, Bao Di Baltimore, and RoofTop HoT Urban Farm and Sustainability Services! We are already looking forward to another night of performances, exhibits, sales and pop-up shops at the next Highlandtown First Friday Art Walk: Sep. 4!
