Ground Root

Ground Root Neighborhood Resilience. . “Ground root” is a philosophy / methodology of working within depressed communities of compressed populations.

It is based on the continual participation of the people and the original philosophies that gave birth to the project, leading to a long lasting development of new ideas that would benefit the affected population in a sustainable way. An error made by many grassroots organizations is allowing their vertical growth to leave behind many of the essential elemental structures and nourishment that gave

birth to the movement, thereby creating a gap between the affected folks and the projects. In contrast, “ground root” is a horizontal approach that recognizes the necessity for continual inclusion of the initial formative structures and nourishment in a cyclical holistic way.
