Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestras

Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestras Launched in 2012, the BSYO comprises three orchestral ensembles of over 250 of the Mid-Atlantic Region’s most talented musicians.

The BSYO serves as ensemble-in-residence at the George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology in Towson, MD. Three orchestral ensembles comprise the BSYO: Youth Orchestra - Pre-professional, full orchestra for students grades 9-12, led by BSYO Artistic Director, Jonathan Rush; Concert Orchestra - Full orchestra for students grades 7-10, led by MaryAnn Poling; String Orchestra - String orchestra for students through grade 7, led by Wesley Thompson
