We ask everyone to look at the medical ma*****na program the way so many truly sick patients do…. Imagine for a minute your child has epilepsy and can barely function and is in some cases having hundreds of seizures daily and nothing approved works. Then also try to imagine the horrible fate of a cancer diagnoses and no safe treatment with beneficial results among the
approved treatments. This leads most parents or patients on a quest to find something new or anything that will help give us or our loved ones as much time without suffering as possible. Now for a second imagine the surprise when you find an overwhelming amount of evidence from scientific research, patient testimony videos, documentaries, and just literally an endless amount of proof. That there may be a real viable treatment that shows unbelievable potential and it’s not chemotherapy which was derived from mustard gas but a simple herb that can be grown from seed. Just simple techniques of juicing and by extracting natural oils can have a real possibility to save your or your loved ones life. Also a strain of cannabis with a high CDB low THC content and manufacturing an oil and then by administering the oil on a regular dosing schedule; this can give you back your child with epilepsy by going from having hundreds of daily seizures to almost none at all and chance at a normal life. Now the hard part accept for patients and parents of patients like these is that this plant has a long history but over the last 80 years or so this has not been a very good history and restrictions have been placed on use of this herb because years ago people decided to smoke it. Now your only hope to save your life or stop your child’s seizures is to take a huge risk of growing this plant or manufacturing this oil. Which right now in most states in America there are very severe penalties. The amount of jail time people have severed for manufacturing cannabis can be similar to sentences handed out for convicted murders and ra**st. The psychoactive effect recreational users get from smoking the plant is caused by THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) it is ridiculous assumption among most of the population of America that medical ma*****na is largely thought of as giving permission for a patient to legally start smoking the cannabis flowers. This is a ridiculous assumption being epileptic children and patients needing tumor reduction therapy are focused on the cannabinoid profiles for healing and smoking is in no way effective for these treatments but because of the lack of media attention into these studies and the federal government’s scheduling of cannabis as a schedule 1 narcotic with “no medical benefits” true studies are next to impossible to conduct. Even though this is clearly a lie it is standing in the way of doing these treatments and approved FDA trials. With our home state of Maryland starting a program we are trying to provide information and training to the public to help people understand the science and what a medical ma*****na program is really about. This is not the America we believe in and our focus is fixing the broken system in any feasible way possible to benefit the true cannabis patients whom are in need of medical ma*****na and we are trying to focus resources on healing patients with life threatening conditions and providing treatment and resources to those whom are focused on the true medicine and not the recreational use by social smoking. Smoking cannabis or anything has potential damaging effects to the respiratory system and we feel should not be part of the medical ma*****na program. We do however think a program where the Cannabis flower,concentrates and edibles can be regulated and sold for recreational use is a much safer better way to provide states with resources and help fund a proper medical ma*****na program. This will cut down on criminals dealing potentially harmful cannabis and cannabis products and provide the state with much needed resources. Through our 501(c)4 corporation Empathy Foundation for Patient’s Rights Inc. we lobby legislators to push for safer access for medical patients and lobby for legalization regulations to procure funding to help patients of the medical program.
