Hey SNPhAm! As September, a.k.a National Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, comes to a close, it is necessary to share some tidbits on su***de as far as the prevalence of su***de in the United States, the warning signs for loved ones at risk, ways to help loved ones, as well as ways to help the "helpers". As future pharmacists, we are aware of how medications can help treat conditions of the body and mind. However, nothing comes close to the social connections we foster and the feeling of interconnectedness among ourselves and the world surrounding us. On a personal note, I have found myself on either the helper or "helpee" side of things, so I included some pointers that have helped me. Words of affirmation, such as "you are enough" and "there is beauty in your imperfections", are also beneficial. I also want to mention that these sayings can be applied to all of you wonderful beings!
Take care,
