We are honored to receive a Thome Aging Well grant to support the implementation of our Legacy Initiative, which provides home repairs and supportive services to older homeowners in Baltimore. Last year, we provided home repairs to over 104 homeowners in Baltimore.

Thanks to the generosity of the Edward N. and Della L. Thome Memorial Foundation, Bank of America trustee, we join 23 other nonprofits in Maryland and Michigan selected through a competitive process by
Enterprise Community Partners to cultivate community-focused solutions to make aging with health and joy an achievable reality.

Twenty-four organizations in Maryland and Michigan will receive a total of $3.8 million to help older adults with lower incomes age safely and with dignity at home.

A Housing Counselor is typically the only neutral party a prospective homeowner can talk to as they prepare for home purchase.

We are proud to have three HUD-certified Housing Counselors as part of our team who support those interested in purchasing homes and those who may have found themselves behind on their mortgage.

Homebuyers who receive housing counseling are statistically shown to be more successful in their homeownership journeys. Click the following link to learn more about our network of housing counselors: https://tinyurl.com/3jwz5shr

Special thanks to the PNC Foundation for its support of St. Ambrose Housing Aid Center's 180 Homeshare program.

180 Homeshare matches justice-involved community members with homeowners who have available space, providing low-barrier, transitional housing for people returning from incarceration who are often excluded from traditional housing options.

The program removes the immediate financial burden of housing so they can focus on rebuilding their lives.

But it’s more than a bed. 180 Homeshare acts as a reentry hub—offering case management, tenancy preparation, housing counseling, material support, and a stable foundation for people to pursue employment and wellness.

This is an investment in the communities most impacted by the carceral system and a step toward sustainable, independent housing for our neighbors.

Thank you PNC Foundation!
