BFMC Chapter 119 is currently the only Boozefighter Chapter operating in the State of Maryland. We are focused on the principles of our founding fathers, the ‘Originals’, when it comes to enjoying Brotherhood and Motorcycles. As the Originals were members of our Armed Forces, we Honor those who have served and currently serve our Nation to ensure our daily Freedoms and thank them for their service

. The Originals had recently returned from the battlefields of Europe and the Pacific. They were restless young men struggling to fit back into the confines of a civil society. Unable to conform to the uptight rules of the clubs of their day, they decided to start their own. The year was 1946, and from the beer soaked floors of the “Big A”, on the corner of Firestone and Manchester, a group of restless young men came up with an idea; more than an idea really, it was a movement, a revolution! Struggling to find a fitting name for their new club, they decided to discuss it over a “few” beers. So common sense says that mixing alcohol and thinking is an oxymoron. Let’s get drunk and think of what we are going to call ourselves! Well, some of the names that circulated that day were the Bats, the Henchmen, and the Characters. While in the throes of discussion, from the end of the bar, Walt Porter drunkenly raised his head and exclaimed something to effect of; “Ya might as well call yourselves the 'B-B-B-Boozefighters’ cause all you do is sit around the bar and fight that booze!”

And in that moment was born , A group who rode hard, drank hard, lived large, and squeezed out every drop life had to offer. A group of men who lived for the moment, in the moment, taking full advantage of the freedoms they fought for and making no excuses for who they were. These were the kind of men Hollywood would later make a movie about, the kind of men who proudly became known as the “Original Wild Ones”. To this day, those who wear that infamous three-star bottle on their back are proud to remember and carry on the traditions of the “Original Wild Ones ...Forever!”
