We praise You with all our heart. You are the refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold in time of trouble. Yesterday, heavy rain poured down like a blessing. As soon as it stopped, the sun emerged, and our anonymous donor appeared unexpectedly with an abundance of donations. A mother lode, van full of donations. We are deeply grateful 🙏

These donations will be distributed to the individuals and families we serve during our weekly Community Mobile Outreach.

Based on reports published on Senator Tim Kaine's website from early 2025 regarding federal workforce reductions, over 6,000 veterans were among the federal employees laid off, with reports indicating that some individuals—particularly those in agencies like the National Park Service who lived in employer-provided housing—faced immediate housing instability or homelessness.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are pleased to introduce Ms. Lorri, an elderly Air Force veteran who is a devoted mother and grandmother. She was referred to FLO by St. Vincent De Paul's Support Services For Veteran Families.

During our home inspection, Ms. Lorri explained how she became displaced after she and many other veteran government employees were laid off. She was excited about her new three-bedroom townhouse in West Baltimore, where she will live with her daughter and granddaughter.

Moved by Ms. Lorri's compelling story and her family's circumstances, we were determined to help them achieve comfort and improve their quality of life.

On Thursday, March 12th, FLO's Apprenticeship Team furnished her entire home. Ms. Lorri and her family were elated and overwhelmed with gratitude.

We thank Ms. Lorri for allowing us to share her story, which will inspire others and advance our mission to secure donations for vulnerable individuals and families in our community.

To those reading this testimony: remember that patience is a virtue—good things come to those who wait.

We express our deepest gratitude to all donors and sponsors for their generous support. Your compassion and commitment bring hope to individuals and families throughout our communities during times of need.

Let Us Pray:

Lord God Almighty, our protector, way maker, Alpha and Omega. We thank You for the gift of life. Lord God, You said seek and you shall find, ask and it shall be given. We ask You to fulfill our every request.

Sometimes, God, we feel everything is stacked against us. When we move two steps forward, it feels like we are going five steps backward. Regardless, we are not losing hope. We're holding on with faith that You will elevate us to victory. We place all our trust in You. When naysayers count us out, we know, Lord, You will count us in. When the task at hand feels impossible, with our trust and faith in You, we know the task is possible.

We are holding on, Lord, because victory is ours. In Jesus' mighty name we pray, Amen!
