Hello, 4-H'ers!

1) FAIR ENTRIES DUE SOON:

If you are showing any animal/livestock projects at the fair or other projects to be judged at the fair, MAKE SURE you register your Fair Entries as directed by the extension office in the email (you should have received). Fair entries MUST be completed by 8/28. If you need help, contact the extension office. :-) (Currently, only a couple members from our club have registered their fair entries.)

2) NEXT MEETING, SUNDAY, 8/23, SMECK PARK, 5 p.m.:

Since our last meeting was a fun meeting, we didn't get a volunteers. Would anyone like to help? :-)

(a) REFRESHMENTS?

(b) DEMONSTRATION OR TALK?

(c) RECREATION: Alex, you might want to have a game ready to play in case we can't go creeking or people don't want to. :-)

**Weather permitting "and the creek don't rise" we'll go "creeking" (wading through the creek) after our meeting. Please wear old clothes and shoes or boots than can get wet/muddy. Anyone walking in the creek MUST wear shoes or boots. You might also want to bring a towel to dry off. :-)

3) SKILLATHON: If you aren't taking livestock projects, don't forget to register a time slot and start studying!

Hello, 4-H’ers! I accidentally overlooked our next meeting, this Sunday, 8/23, 5:00 pm, at Smeck Park to go creeking! (If we have lots more rain and the creek is up, we will cancel.) Sorry about my mistake! Be sure to wear old clothes and shoes/boots that can get wet in the creek. 😊

Hello, 4-H'ers and Parents!

1) REGISTRATION NEEDED FOR YOUR PROJECTS AT THE COUNTY FAIR: You should have received an email from the extension office letting you know how and that you need to register ALL your fair entries for the fair. This includes any project to be judged at the fair (e.g. county-only projects like candies, cookies, etc.) and all livestock/animal projects. For livestock projects, you must register your animals AND showmanship (if you want). Make sure all entries are done online by 8/28. See their email with more details.

2) SKILLATHON: If you are taking livestock projects to the fair, make sure you register a timeslot for the Skillathon for your respective animal(s). Make sure you complete everything in your project book--and take your book to the Skillathon. If something is not applicable to your project, write "N/A" in large letters so they can see it. Check out the details online or in previous email from the extension office to know what you need to study this year.

3) NEXT MEETING: Our next meeting will be Sunday, 9/13, at 5:00 p.m. at JULIA'S. We will prepare things for our club fair booth, so you might want to wear old clothes in case you help paint.

Hello, 4-H'ers and Parents!

We had a great meeting yesterday, and our members did a great job demonstrating what to do or not to do during judging!

Have fun and do your best during summer judging this week! We're proud of you!!!

NEXT MEETING: We will meet again this Sunday, 7/26, 4:00-6:00 p.m., at Alice's house, for a FUN MEETING!
Wear your swimsuit and bring a towel!
IF our pool gets fixed and the water isn't too cold, we'll have a pool party!
If not, we'll have a slip-n-slide, volleyball, gaga ball, corn hole, ladder ball, frisbees, ice cream, and whatever else we can find! :-)

Come for a fun time to celebrate summer and all your hard work so far this year!

As we look forward to decorating our fair booth in October, Julia requests that we save toilet paper rolls and small to medium sized boxes (approximately the size of a shoe box or twice that).

Hello, 4-H'ers & Parents!

I hope you're enjoying your summer this far--and staying cool in this hot weather!

Summer judging will soon be here!

1) Please be sure you complete EVERY activity and read EVERY page in your book. If for some reason you don't do one (for example, if you know your family won't like a certain recipe), then substitute it with something else similar.

2) If you have a project(s) to be judged July 21 or 22, make sure you schedule an appointment. (You should have received an email with the link to do so.)

3) ** Please remember that the judging location has changed this year. It will be at the Levacy Center (1550 Sheridan Dr Suite 200, Lancaster, OH 43130).

4) If you are not able to complete a project this year, that is OK. Please contact the extension office so they will know.

Our next meeting will be Sunday, July 19, at 4:00 p.m. at Alice's house.

1) **Please note that we will meet at 4:00 p.m. - 1 hour earlier than usual.

2) If you have a project to be judged this summer, please bring it with you to the meeting. We will have mock judging at the meeting so members can practice being judged and possibly get suggestions for improvement before judging.

3) If you ordered a club shirt(s), please bring payment to the meeting.
