Let's take it back to 1997 in Baltimore Arena. The lineup was great! THRASHER, UNDERTAKER, WAR WAGON, BOOGEY VAN, BLACK STALLION, and Dennis Anderson in GRAVE DIGGER! This show was the debut of Mike Vaters all new BLACK STALLION 2000 and Dennis Andersons GRAVE DIGGER #12 and the new blue/purple look for BOOGEY VAN! What I remember the most was the bad fast side by side racing. GRAVE DIGGER was pegged to win and Pam Vaters was considered the underdog...WELL, when the final 2 lined up for the racing final, it would be BOOGEY VAN vs GRAVE DIGGER. All bets were on Digger, but when the light went green, Pam edged out the black and green wrecking machine by inches! It was a huge upset and the crowd was going nuts celebrating with Pam as she slung the awesome BOOGEY VAN into some wicked donuts!!! Check back tomorrow for another awesome Baltimore monster moment!

So, to start off sharing one of my 28 years of Baltimore Arena memories,I want to go back to 2002! When I walked in and seen the track and some of the trucks for the first time that weekend, I couldn't help but smile...but then my jaw hit the floor when I seen the new scheme on hometown hero BLACK STALLION as Mike Vaters, along with Dennis Anderson that year and there that night, celebrated 20yrs in the sport! What sticks out the most from that weekend was saturday night freestyle! Dennis brought the anniversary themed Digger out and made 3 great hits before attempting a crossthread into the van stack and rolling it after a save! The moment of the weekend...wondering who's next to run, all I hear is 1,500hp steadily revving...ready to be unleashed...still can't see who it is...the light goes green and here comes Vaters like a 10,000lb bat outta hell, foot TO THE FLOOR and roars out the tunnel straight for the center van stack! Mike did not lift off the gas for a second and when he nailed the van stack, he LAUNCHED higher than ANY monster had been before in that arena and the more time Black Stallion spent in the air, the more vertical he became! Bouncing off the rear, the truck twisted, hiked up sideways, and rolled hard stopping inches from hitting the stage! The crowd went nuts, Mike was pumped, and I went home smiling. I just seen a helluva show and 2 of my favorite drivers...LEGENDS, both rolled celebrating 20yrs together! Hope you enjoyed this post. Tomorrow, I'll take you back to 1991!!!

RACFANS...AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME is the only way to describe the Tour! Inside Royal Farm Arena in Baltimore, MD today, all 8 athletes showed the fans how tough, wild, and crazy they are. Every competitor put on a helluva show as B-More saw wins from Dalton Millican, Morgan Kane, Becky Mcdonough, Coty Saucier, and earning the title of event champion was C**ton Eichelberger in GRAVE DIGGER! Had a blast with everyone and also want to shoutout to Ms. El Toro Loco, Becky Mcdonough...I have an amazing amount of respect for your talent. You ROCKED IT!!! Keep on kicking a**!!! Thank you Baltimore...this weekend marks my 28th year in a row attending the yearly monster truck events in that building. WOW! I stood outside after todays event and just looked up at the old arena and thought about all the wild wow moments I've seen in the ol' girl for almost 3 decades and just smiled. Today, I added a few more. Til next year Baltimore and thanks for everything! Check in starting tomorrow racefans. I will put up a post each day for a week and share some of the coolest moments from 28yrs of monster trucks in Baltimore Arena!
