"We were contacting Courtney at NAMI to inquire about a volunteer position helping others with mental health issues. Rachel was helping me and we made progress so far getting me into the peer to peer training class. I had considered other volunteer jobs. I thought about volunteering for the library. Lee Ann brought up volunteering with senior citizens.

Volunteer positions are a good experience to have and they look good on a resume. I encourage the members to think about volunteering their time to build work skills. There are a lot of good benefits to it. Let's get going and get started using our time wisely. There is a lot of support available here at Bmore Clubhouse. We can all work together. Wonder what our days look like at B'More Clubhouse? Just take a look at our Work-Ordered-Day Boards and see all the tasks we accomplish in our week! Notice how the boards for BizCom unit and Membership units have different work, but collaboratively work towards the same goal of organizing a day of meaningful work that supports our Clubhouse!

Tiffany Briscoe shared about her Clubhouse experience for

"I’ve been a member since February, and I love the Clubhouse. I volunteer to do cleaning which helps me build my job skills, like cleaning the bathroom, wiping the conference table down, making and serving coffee, and enjoying helping pass out lunch and drinks. It’s helping me grow in job support and education. It’s giving me confidence and my therapist and my psychiatrist trust them to help me do what I need to do, and relating to the world by training me with my gifts. B’More Clubhouse has built my confidence and brightened my opportunities with jobs and school, preparing for interviews, supporting my relationships with peers and B’More Clubhouse, and allowing me to express myself in a positive manner. It allows me to be prosperous with my family. It helps me be specific in growing. It helps me communicate with my family and with others. It helps me be outspoken and self assured."
