A huge thank you to our friends at Graham Projects for their work in bringing the community's vision to life and taking these incredible aerial shots of the 3rd and E. Patapsco improvements!

As a result of negotiations with a coalition of community stakeholders, including residents, faith leaders, and community-based organizations, Greater Baybrook Alliance was elected to take ownership of 3601 South Hanover Street.

GBA is in the process of fully renovating this formerly vacant Bank of America branch to become GBA's office space! This project is a full gut remodel and is at the drywalling stage throughout most of the building.

Como resultado de las negociaciones con una coalición de partes interesadas de la comunidad, entre las que se incluyen residentes, líderes religiosos y organizaciones comunitarias, se eligió a Greater Baybrook Alliance (GBA) para que se hiciera cargo del inmueble situado en el 3601 de South Hanover Street.

¡GBA está llevando a cabo una renovación integral de esta antigua sucursal del Bank of America, que estaba desocupada, para convertirla en las oficinas de GBA! Se trata de una reforma completa que ha supuesto el desmantelamiento total del interior, y actualmente se encuentra en la fase de instalación de placas de yeso en la mayor parte del edificio.

Michelle and Stephanie, Resident Outreach Specialists, tabled for National Night Out in Brooklyn Park! They were also joined by GBA's Latino Engagement Coordinator, Rocio.

They tabled to share information about the 311 Ambassador Program and collect interest from residents. They also shared facts about public safety and pollution, educating residents on how they can beautify their community.

¡Michelle y Stephanie, especialistas en divulgación entre los vecinos, montaron un puesto en el evento «National Night Out» en Brooklyn Park! A ellas se unió también Rocío, coordinadora de participación de la comunidad latina de la GBA.

Montaron el puesto para compartir información sobre el Programa de Embajadores del 311 y recabar el interés de los vecinos. Además, compartieron datos sobre seguridad pública y contaminación, y explicaron a los vecinos cómo pueden embellecer su comunidad.

Have you driven or walked past the 3rd and E. Patapsco intersection recently?

GBA and Graham Projects hosted a community paint day, where residents came out to help paint this intersection! This project is designed to calm traffic in this area and create safer environments for pedestrians and other road users.

¿Has pasado recientemente en coche o a pie por el cruce de la 3 con E. Patapsco?

GBA y Graham Projects organizaron una jornada comunitaria de pintura, en la que los vecinos se acercaron para ayudar a pintar este cruce. Este proyecto tiene como objetivo moderar el tráfico en esta zona y crear entornos más seguros para los peatones y el resto de usuarios de la vía pública.

Interested in learning more about the Ritchie Highway Vision Plan?

This plan is intended to improve safety, mobility, and accessibility while better connecting communities and destinations.

This planning process will establish a vision for the corridor and develop a list of improvements. Throughout the summer, Anne Arundel County is developing draft recommendations, with additional public outreach in the fall.

Thank you to Baltimore DHCD, Maryland DHCD, MCIC, and the Baltimore Dept of Planning for coming out to Brooklyn and Curtis Bay for a site visit!

The goal of this visit was to build a shared understanding of community visions, redevelopment plans, and current neighborhood conditions. This visit helped to kick off a collaborative, place-based approach that aligns City investments, vacant property strategies, and whole-block revitalization efforts with community-defined goals.

¡Gracias al DHCD de Baltimore, al DHCD de Maryland, al MCIC y al Departamento de Planificación de Baltimore por venir a Brooklyn y Curtis Bay para realizar una visita sobre el terreno!

El objetivo de esta visita era alcanzar un entendimiento común sobre las perspectivas de la comunidad, los planes de reurbanización y las condiciones actuales del barrio. Esta visita ha contribuido a poner en marcha un enfoque colaborativo y centrado en el territorio que armoniza las inversiones municipales, las estrategias relativas a los inmuebles vacíos y los esfuerzos de revitalización de manzanas enteras con los objetivos definidos por la comunidad.

The Central Maryland Transportation Alliance is currently accepting applications for their 2026 fall workshop series!

Transportation 101 is a free program that will develop community leaders that are poised to enhance communities and people’s lives by cultivating a healthy, resilient and more sustainable region by supporting transit, active transportation and increased access. Transportation 101 graduates will be equipped to provide relevant and timely information to help policy makers, business leaders, and the general public make informed decisions about transportation choices and transportation infrastructure investments in our region.

Transportation 101 will be held every Wednesday night, 6:00 - 9:00 pm from September 16 - October 28. Sessions will be held at the offices of the Baltimore Community Foundation (11 E. Mt. Royal Ave., Baltimore, MD 21202). Attendance is required for all sessions.
