Join us for Baltimore Family Alliance’s first-ever family fundraiser, a full day of fun, connection, and community for the whole family!

Kids and families will enjoy a fully planned schedule of activities, including
✨ Shake Out Your Sillies with Eliza
🔬 A Live Science Show with our friends The Science Guys of Baltimore. This will be super cool!
🎶 Music Class with our partners at Patterson Park Academy of Music
🥁 An interactive Drum Circle with Curtis Eaddy II

Additional activities will include: Science Activities, a LEGO Play Area, Crafts with The Waldorf School, Baltimore Hoop Love Hula Hoops, and a Silent Auction

Food will be available for purchase from Millie’s Brick Oven Pizza. Beer, wine, and lemonade will also be available for attendees.

Every ticket helps Baltimore Family Alliance continue providing the FREE family events that you and our community have come to enjoy throughout the years!

TOMORROW: Our FINAL stop of the 2026 Baltimore Family Alliance Playground Tour will be at the incredible Unity Park Playground & Splash Pad. What better way to celebrate a fantastic summer event series with some water play?!

Mark your calendars for Thursday, August 20 from 5:30-7pm at Unity Park Playground and Splash Pad (2 N. Fulton Ave., Baltimore, MD 21223).

Wow! We were so excited to host our very first event in Cherry Hill as part of our Playground Tour Series!

And we enjoyed seeing families from different neighborhoods come together to play and become budding scientists making slime! And, of course, the hula hoops were a BIG hit with both kids and parents!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make our first Cherry Hill event such a success! If you haven’t checked out Denise Johnson Playground yet, make sure you do!

We had a blast at Hampstead Hill Academy’s
Welcome New Families event!

Our table of free books and school supplies disappeared in no time with plenty of smiles and excited looks from the kids. One question we heard again and again was, “Is it free?” And we are so happy to say, “Yes! Everything is free!” ❤️

But the best part was the opportunity to connect with families and let them know that Baltimore Family Alliance is here for them.

We had a special encounter with two families who had just moved to Baltimore today! We were thrilled to welcome them to our city, share information about our organization, and invite them to join us at future events.

We love meeting families where they are, building relationships, connecting them to resources, and creating opportunities for them to feel welcomed and supported in their new neighborhood!

So whether you’re new to Baltimore or have called Baltimore home for years, we can’t wait to see you at our next event!

One week left! What does it really mean to serve on a nonprofit board?

Being a board member is more than attending meetings. It's an opportunity to use your skills, experience, and connections to help move Baltimore Family Alliance's mission forward.

Board members help provide leadership, guidance, and support in areas that strengthen our organization, including:
✨ Strategic planning and organizational growth
✨ Fundraising and building partnerships
✨ Community engagement and advocacy
✨ Sharing expertise in areas like finance, marketing, communications, or operations
✨ Supporting events and initiatives that connect families

Board service typically requires about 10 hours per month, including meetings, preparation, and opportunities to get involved. The exact commitment can vary depending on your interests and the areas where you choose to contribute.

Some board members may focus on helping shape marketing strategy or supporting events, while others may contribute through financial guidance, fundraising, partnerships, strategic planning, or grant writing. The goal is to match each person's strengths and interests with opportunities where they can make the greatest impact.

Together, we can help build a city where all families can thrive.

Who Should Join the Baltimore Family Alliance Board?

There isn't one "perfect" board member.

We're looking for individuals who bring a variety of experiences, skills, and perspectives—and who share a commitment to helping Baltimore families thrive.

As we continue to grow, we're especially excited to connect with individuals who have experience in fundraising, grant development, corporate partnerships, philanthropy, business leadership, and community engagement. If you have a passion for building relationships and creating opportunities that benefit Baltimore families, we'd love to hear from you.
