Kingston is getting pumped for the big day!

Hi everybody! My name is Kingston and I am a 10-year-old Pit Bull mix with some big news to share. In just one day, it will be time for my favorite event of the whole year - The 22nd Annual March for the Animals!! At this year's brand new location Camden Yards Sports Complex, there will be food, music, vendors and pets galore! It will be a day to remember, so come one, come all and don't forget to register online by 3:00 p.m. today! Day-of registration starts at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow morning.

Now, back to me! I may have a few years under my belt, but just like fine wine, I like to think I've gotten better with age. Although I've lost my hearing, I am a great visual listener and will do just about anything for a treat. My previous foster home said I was an affectionate couch-potato who would make any family happy!

Looking for a laid-back companion to spoil you with endless love and cuddles? I'm your guy. Come visit me at the Maryland SPCA- I'll be waiting!

The 22nd Annual March for the Animals t-shirts and bandanas have arrived!! Who's excited for this Saturday?!

Any participant who has raised $40 or more will receive a purple shirt for you and a bandana for your pet. Our staff and volunteers will be wearing orange shirts. There's still time to register and reach your fundraising goal if you want a t-shirt! Head to www.marchfortheanimals.org for more info.

THE MARCH IS JUST 3 DAYS AWAY!!

Adoptable pets, food trucks, over 85 vendors, yoga, live music, agility courses, photo booths, pet contests, an after paw-ty and so much more! There's so much to be excited about for this year's March for the Animals!

Join us this Saturday, April 15th at Camden Yards Sports Complex for the March! Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. and the March begins at 10:00 a.m. We can't wait to see you there!

The 22nd Annual March for the Animals is only 11 days away and we have a long way to go before we reach our fundraising goal! Your donations are vitally important to help pets like Monkey!

Everyday, pets come to our shelter needing support, medical treatments, nutritious meals and a place to call home. The funds raised at the March for the Animals help pets at our shelter all year long.

Did you know, eating frozen yogurt today at Sweet Frog Dundalk or Sweet Frog Rosedale at Golden Ring will benefit the pets at the Maryland SPCA? Talk about a win-win!

Help the fundraising efforts for the 22nd Annual March for the Animals by heading out for some frozen yogurt. 20% of the proceeds from tonight's sales at both locations will go to the Maryland SPCA.

NEW CONTEST THIS YEAR: PET LOOK-A-LIKE CONTEST!

Contests take place from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the stage. Register for the March TODAY to participate in the costume contest, talent show or pet look-a-like contest at our 22nd Annual March for the Animals!

This year, we are so excited to have a brand new contest at our 22nd Annual March for the Animals - A Pet Look-a-like Contest!

For inspiration and tips, we reached out to the duo who has mastered the art of matching outfits, Topher Brophy and his beautiful pup, Rosenburg. Topher and Rosenburg have been gracing social media with their stunning good-looks. Some of the tips he gave for pet parents dressing-up with their pets are:

1. Some animal friends are into wearing human clothes, and others are not, so please their specific comfort zones.

2. Keeping their clothes light and loose is always helpful.

3. If they have a tail, please make sure to make a hole in their pants, so it is not restricted and can wag :)

4. Turtlenecks are easy and are always a lot of fun!

We're exactly a month away from the big day! The countdown has begun and we're gearing-up our fundraising efforts into FULL swing.
