Abdominal Cancers Alliance The Abdominal Cancers Alliance is an initiative of Partners for Cancer Care and Prevention a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

The Abdominal Cancers Alliance is committed to saving lives and improving quality of life by connecting those facing abdominal cancers to the information and support that they need in their fight against abdominal cancers, including rare and advanced gastrointestinal and gynecologic malignancies. We are patients and survivors, caregivers and families, clinicians, and organizations - all working together to shift the paradigms keeping so many from reaching the care they need in time. By raising awareness with the public and care providers, making connections to resources and care, and guiding patient and caregiver navigation throughout the cancer journey, we aim to see that every patient reaches the care they need.

Today is , a day devoted to shinning a light on the over 1 in 4 patients diagnosed with a rare cancer and the issues they face each day.

NORD recognizes rare cancers are among the more than 10,000 known rare diseases, of which fewer than 5% have treatments.

💛 You don't have to just push through hot flashes, mood swings, or vaginal dryness — real, medically-backed treatment options exist for perimenopause and menopause symptoms. 🩺 From low-dose hormonal birth control and menopausal hormone therapy (usually most effective at the lowest dose, shortest time) to non-hormonal medicines like fluoxetine, ospemifene, and fezolinetant, there are prescription paths for nearly every symptom, alongside topical options and OTC lubricants or moisturizers for dryness and discomfort. ⚠️ Hormone therapy isn't right for everyone — those with a history of heart disease, breast cancer, blood clots, or stroke should talk with their provider first — and bioidentical hormones marketed as safer alternatives are often unregulated and unproven, so it's worth asking questions before trying them. 💬 The bottom line: there's no one-size-fits-all fix, but there ARE real options.💪
