🌞 Summer of Food 2026 applications are now open for girls ages 5–16, with limited spaces available. The program offers hands-on, culturally rooted culinary experiences that connect food, creativity, and confidence from story to soil to table. 🥳
Cohorts include:
📚Storybook Cooks (ages 5–8, grades K–2): A culturally enriching program that blends storytelling with hands-on cooking activities to strengthen reading comprehension, spark creativity, and introduce foundational culinary skills in a fun, interactive environment that nurtures a love for learning and self-expression.
🌱Roots to Table (ages 8–16): A two-week immersive experience where girls learn to grow fresh herbs, fruits, and vegetables and transform them into nourishing meals and creative beverages made with whole, fresh ingredients, building skills in gardening, cooking, flavor exploration, and culturally rooted healthy eating from soil to table.
🍉🍒Flavor Flip: Sweet & Savory Edition (ages 8–16): A 5-day hands-on culinary experience where girls discover how one ingredient can become both a savory entrée and a sweet dessert, building confidence through baking, roasting, and flavor balancing while working with seasonal ingredients.
