Shoutout to all the Blues lovers attending the Chenango Blues Festival in Norwich, NY 8/20-8/22! The official CBF website does not include several artists who will be performing outside of the Fairgrounds, including 80 years young, Doug MacLeod. Check out the complete schedule:

Here’s a handy rundown of Chenango Blues Festival Weekend activities! Saturday night from 8:30 pm - 1:00 am. we’ll have a shuttle run continuously from the Camping Registration tent at the Fairgrounds to the Gazebo on East Park for those who want to see the club shows!

Roger Girke is a road tested guitarist, singer and writer who has performed over 5,000 career live shows, concerts and festivals in addition to numerous recording sessions and multi-artist releases.

Roger Girke:
Roger's career began performing in rock bands in the eastern PA/NJ area, eventually joining the legendary Philadelphia area roots rock band Pickins (Capitol/Ariola), followed by many years of touring and recording with Sharks (Elektra), Robert Hazard (RCA), and many other notable artists.

Since 2000, Roger has released 5 CDs and has regularly performed at blues festivals, clubs and concerts throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The Roger Girke Band was a top 10 finalist in the 2009 Memphis, TN International Blues Challenge as well as receiving top tier Independent CD finalist awards in the 2005 and 2009 International Blues Challenge, a part of the Blues Foundation.

Come join your fellow blues lovers for a BBS Members Night Out (MNO) this Friday, August 21, 6:30 - 10 PM at Racers' Cafe for Skyla Burrell!

The Skyla Burrell Band is a hardworking blues band that focuses on original material and are known for their high-energy electric blues.

Skyla was born in Los Angeles and raised in Orange County, California. Skyla formed her first band at the age of 13 and has been a working musician ever since. Skyla played with several bands as a teenager and young adult, working her way up and down Southern California. She relocated to the East Coast in her early 20's where she continued learning and growing from her musical experiences and eventually co-forming the Skyla Burrell Band. In addition to her singing, writing and guitar duties, Skyla also plays the piano.

Multi-Charting Billboard Blues sensation, Davy Knowles is coming to the Live at Hub City Vinyl stage on Thursday, 9/17! Hub City is located at 28 East Baltimore Street in Hagerstown, MD.

Since bursting onto the scene with his band Back Door Slam’s critically acclaimed album ‘Roll Away’ in 2007 (“I heard the spirit of Jimi Hendrix” Patrick McDonald - Seattle Times), Davy’s star has only risen.

His sophomore release ‘Coming Up For Air’ was produced by the legendary Peter Frampton (“Davy already has a recognizable style. He’s definitely the gunslinger guitarist of the 21st century,’’- Peter Frampton), with subsequent tours seeing him supporting and sharing the stage with acts such as Jeff Beck, The Who, Joe Bonamassa, Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd, George Thorogood, Brian Setzer, the Sammy Hagar-fronted supergroup Chickenfoot, and guitar hero Joe Satriani who called Davy “My favorite modern Bluesman”.
