🌳👏 Congratulations to the Village of Baltimore on being recognized as a Tree City USA community for the 15th consecutive year!

Baltimore Downtown Restoration Committee is proud to celebrate this incredible milestone and to recognize Steve Cothrel, Director of BDRC, for his dedicated service as part of the Village’s Tree Commission.

This is Baltimore‘s 15th consecutive year earning Tree City USA. Linda Young, Amy DiFrischia and Steve Cothrel traveled to Springfield, Ohio on May 6, 2026 to accept this award on behalf of the Village of Baltimore! The Village of Baltimore appreciates all of the time and dedication the Tree Commission gives to our community!

It’s good to see a new pizza place opening across the street from the elementary and middle schools. Because the location is so close to the schools, we expect a considerable increase in the number of people crossing this busy stretch of S. Main Street. To make it safer for the elementary school children, we are installing a zip line over the road, so students can fly above the traffic and not be at risk.
