The mentoring workshops were developed to provide the participants with a positive outlet and an open forum to discuss relevant topics.

PASS, Incorporated is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting athletics, scholarship, and sisterhood to female youths through teamwork, education, and mentoring. The interactive activities and lessons provide the participants with opportunities for self-reflection and personal growth. The purpose of the mentoring program is to provide the tools and resources to assist the participants in

becoming respectful, educated, cultured young women. The mentoring workshops include time management, study skills, healthy living, self-esteem, make-up and apparel, social media etiquette, bullying and peer pressure, and healthy relationships. In addition to mentoring workshops, the youth will be given the opportunity to participate in college tours, college fairs, and career fairs. The purpose is to expose the participants to college and make them aware of the opportunities available to them. They will also learn what will be required for admission and graduation. The purpose of the athletic program is to provide after-school alternatives to the youth to prevent them from engaging in potentially risky behavior. The participants are introduced to and taught the fundamentals of the sports, then divided into age appropriate groups for competitive play. The program helps develop life skills such as teamwork, effective communication, and good sportsmanship. The program assists the participants in developing their athletic talent, and can lead them to being accepted into their choice of high school or college. Currently, PASS, Incorporated offers Softball and Lacrosse programs, and is developing programs for Volleyball and Field Hockey.

Great day with the team today! Cancelled tournament means team bonding. Started at the Maryland Women’s Heritage Center where we learned about a lot of homegrown, historically important women. (And the Orioles Bird came through to hang out with us!). Grabbed some lunch and accidentally watched the Morgan State/ Norfolk State softball game. (We saw them as we were driving and stopped to watch.). Then ended the night with a prom send off. PASS, Incorporated is so much more than softball. This is definitely a family affair over here.
