The Joshua M. Rosen Foundation is thrilled to announce our two scholarship recipients for the 2022-2023 school year!

Channa R., a Baltimore native and Beth Tfiloh graduate, made Aliya in 2018 and studied communications and political science at Bar Ilan University. After graduating, Channa volunteered for the IDF, serving as an NCO planning foreign military visits, Israeli military delegations abroad, joint-exercises and conferences. At Reichman University (IDC Herzliya), Channa is studying diplomacy and conflict.

Matan R. made Aliya in 2015 and served as a Lone Soldier in the Special Operations Naval Airborne Unit providing combat intelligence. After being discharged from the IDF, Matan worked for an Israeli NGO where he facilitated trainings to newly released Lone Soldiers, teaching them interpersonal skills and tools to combat anti-Semitism. Matan is also studying diplomacy and conflict at IDC and after graduating, plans to contribute to Israel's mission in the world of diplomacy either with the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the United Nations.

Kol Hakavod to Channa and Matan! We wish them the best of luck in their studies this year.
